Welcome to the New Moon

The New Moon, a contemporary fine dining restaurant located in Bangor, Maine, that uses only the finest ingredients available to prepare your meal. We feature a great dining experience in a casual environment that includes wine, spirits, beer, great service, and fine food. At the New Moon we love fine dining and believe that dining out should be an enjoyable social experience.

Chef Melissa Chaiken changes the menu to take advantage of the current in season ingredients. These seasonal ingredients drive our desire to create fabulous new entrees. Melissa uses a classic French technique combined with contemporary American, Polynesian, and Pan-Asian cooking styles to create her meals.

We are open 7 days a week from 5 to 9 pm. Reservations are not required but are available for your convenience. The bar stays open later on Friday and Saturday nights. Private dining rooms for groups, functions, wedding, business meeting, showers or other events are available.
