The Owners

The New Moon is the creation of Paul and Allison Noonan who are natives of the greater Bangor region that met while traveling in Boulder Colorado. They decided to return to Bangor together and open a restaurant. The couple married in 2000. The New Moon was started as a gourmet lunch establishment on 21 Main Street in downtown Bangor in 1999. In 2001 Paul and Allison moved the New Moon to its current location at 49 Park Street in downtown Bangor. The move allowed the couple to focus on what they really enjoyed, fine dining.

Paul and Allison are celebrating their 8th year of business together by opening a new Irish style pub that is named after their first child, a son named Christopher. Cristor's will be located on Main Street in downtown Bangor across from the original location of the New Moon.
